The Chromosomic Memory and the Art of Changes

I have always been fascinated by mysteries of all kinds. Miracles in legend, myths and today’s religions. Visions in dreams and waking reveries that touch upon the deep recesses of a collective unconscious mind whose source is primitive and pagan.I fell in love with photography as a means to document my interior world. All the diverse series in these last 35 years are one vision, coherent in their diversity. They center around the conceptual axes and reflections of time, traces and the duality of memory and forgetfulness. Time, The incubation period where earth meets object produces the patina that is the essential alchemist ingredient, the revealing agent that transforms them in a significant way first in time and space and then in the corners of the imagination. Should the origin of the object be revealed or should it stay a mystery – perhaps it would be better not to say anything about the images. I choose to reveal the nature of the object as I strive to find in the ‘real world’ lost objects, both man-made and natural to create fantastic images from my imagination…
